There are two types of bean-communication:

- reading the bean, aka ‘bean to the rest of the world’ method;

- teaching the bean, including the ‘screen to bean’ and ‘bean to bean’ methods. For the latter one you obviously need two beans.

At any time you can control the bean by ‘clicking’ the belly of it.

How to teach the bean?

In order to teach a new message or poem to the bean you have to use the bean’s photosensor, called the ‘lightreading eye’.

Screen-to-bean

You can teach your bean in our Beanary. First type in the message or poem in the encoding machine and press the big red button. Then position your bean in front of the screen so that its ‘lightreading eye’ is exactly in front of the photosensor sign.

Click short-long () on the bean and immediately press OK. Hold your bean in front of the screen until the flashing light stops.

Your bean while learning will blink green. If the learning, by any mistake fails, it would blink red. When finished you can check your bean’s content by pushing its belly twice.
